DAILYSPLICE RECEIVES NRC-IRAP RESEARCH SUPPORT
Monday, January 28th, 2008Victoria BC, January 28, 2008 -Two weeks after hiring its first two employees, DailySplice has begun a four month research and development project with the National Research Council Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP), a federal government program that provides a range of both technical and business oriented advisory services along with potential financial support to growth-oriented Canadian small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Working directly with these clients, NRC-IRAP supports innovative research and development and commercialization of new products and services. DailySplice will apply the support to the research and development of innovative technologies.
The company has been working closely with NRC-IRAP since first meeting their ITA, Martyn Ward, at a business plan competition. “NRC-IRAP has been helping us out a lot for the past four months with all kinds of things from good industry contacts to preliminary patent searches.” says Rian Bowden, the company’s CEO. “I’ve got nothing but great things to say about our experience with NRC-IRAP. This is an example of a government organization that has a wealth of great resources and know-how that can really help innovative Canadian business grow. We’re really excited to be officially involved in an NRC-IRAP funded project.”
