What We Do
DailySplice is a new media company with a unique approach to managing and delivering podcasts. DailySplice’s claim to fame is it’s podcast splicer, a program that allows users to create their own tailor-made “radio-program” using their favorite podcasts.
Company Background
DailySplice was founded in 2007 by a team of Business and Engineering students at the University of Victoria. The company developed a first place winning business plan for prestigious local entrepreneurship competition hosted by the Innovation and Development Corporation. Shortly after, the company release an early version of a web application that allows consumers to create personalized radio-like shows that can be consumed as a part of a daily routine.
Mission
DailySplice’s mission is to change the way people consume new media on the Internet. In particular, DailySplice wants people to start thinking of podcasts as a form of media that is consumed on a daily basis.
The tools that are being developed will help shape standards for rich media publication on the net and will provide new media with a familiar and time tested model for monetization. This will create a powerful new media and advertising channel, on par with TV or Radio.
Current Status
DailySplice is currently in Beta and more features under active development. A range of features are available to the general public at http://dailysplice.com. More features, such as the DailySplice podcast splicing technology, is available to invited users only.
